Jr Dukes Girls Season

We are excited for another season of Jr. Dukes Basketball! Please see the information below about our upcoming tryouts. We have a new platform this season and you will have to create an account to register your daughter(s). We will use this platform called Crossbar for all registrations moving forward and the App associated with it for team scheduling. Please register before the tryout date.

Tryout Schedule (UPDATED)-

3rd Grade - 5:15pm Check-in, 5:30-6:15pm Tryouts

4th and 5th Grade- 6:00pm Check-in, 6:15-7:00pm Tryouts

6th, 7th and 8th Grade- 6:45pm Check-in, 7:00- 8:00pm Tryouts

If your daughter has a conflict during her scheduled time, you can attend during a different time slot. Please let us know in advance at wfbgirlsjrdukeshoops@gmail.com and during Check-in at tryouts.

Offer Acceptance- Offers will go out by 9/20 with a target date of 9/18. We would request acceptance of the offer within 48 hours. The offers will come from the Crossbar platform where you will accept or decline.

Fees- Player fees will stay flat again this year. Grades 3- $400, Grades 4-6- $550 and Grades 7&8- $650. You can choose to pay offline via check or cash (use Discount Code PAYOFFLINE) when registering or by credit card on Crossbar. Offline payments can be mailed/dropped off to Jr Dukes Basketball c/o Carrie Osswald, 1109 E Circle Drive, WFB 53217.

Uniforms- Uniforms will need to be ordered by parents by 9/24 for all new players or grades that are up for a new uniform (Grades 3,5,7). Uniform kits will be at The Warehouse during tryouts to help with sizing. A link to Burghardt Sporting Goods will be provided to parents as soon as rosters are finalized. The cost of the uniform will be approximately $90.

Spiritwear- A link to Burghardt Sporting Goods will also be provided to order Spiritwear. Ordering will close on 9/24. We typically will have one more opportunity to order Spiritwear that will arrive around the holiday seasons.

FAQs-

1. My daughter has a conflict (e.g., dance, soccer, personal travel). Does she need to attend the tryouts? What happens if she misses?

• Our strong recommendation is that your daughter attend the tryout. She can come during a different time slot on September 16th or make arrangements for an individual tryout by emailing wfbgirlsjrdukeshoops@gmail.com.

2. My daughter is injured. How will you make a roster placement decision?

• If she is new to the program, we may or may not be able to place her on a team. If she was in the program previously, we will consider her performance last year based upon feedback from the head coach with any other data points that would be helpful.

3. Can my daughter preference a team with a friend/coach or the B team over the A team?

• If your daughter would like to tryout for the B team only or have a specific team request due to carpooling for Grades 3-4, you must let us know directly at wfbgirlsjrdukeshoops@gmail.com prior to September 16th. Otherwise, we will assume everyone would accept an A offer if subsequently granted or accept team placement on either of the Grade 3-4 teams. We will not allow a player to later ask after rosters are set to play on the B team or try to ‘swap' to another team to be with friends.

4. My daughter goes to a parochial school in WFB, but we do not live in WFB. Can she still tryout?

• If your daughter, was on a Jr Dukes team last season, she can still tryout and continue to finish her Jr Dukes career if she is rostered. Now that the other local areas have their own Junior programs, we are no longer accepting new players from other communities to play Jr Dukes Basketball.
